My dishwasher won't run.
The fuse may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. You need to replace the fuse or reset your circuit breaker. Other appliances should be removed from the circuit. If in doubt consult your dishwasher manufacturer or a qualified electrical engineer.
My dishwasher is making a funny noise.
Some noises are perfectly normal, for example, the motor, the drain valve opening to pump out water or the timer control as the cycle progresses. Often it's just a wash item that has come loose or dropped into the rack so make sure everything is secure. Please also consult your dishwasher’s manual.
There is no water pumping out of my machine.
- The filter of your machine might be blocked. Please remove and clean the filter.
- The tube may be strongly bent. Please check and see installation guide for your dishwasher.
- The drainage pump may be blocked. Please consult the manual and call the service.
- Your drain may be blocked. If your kitchen sink isn't draining all that well either you may have to call a plumber.
- Please also consult your dishwasher’s manual.
There are suds in the bottom of my machine.
If dishes are pre-washed using a hand dishwashing liquid, it is important to rinse them thoroughly before loading them onto the dishwasher. Any liquid soap remaining on dishes can result in over sudsing.
My machine interior is stained.
Some food, e.g. tomato-based food can stain especially plastic items in the load and/or in the machine. The stains are often impossible to remove. We recommend not to wash plastic items together with such food.
My dishes don't come out dry.
- Check your rinse agent dispenser, it may be empty. Then use either rinse aid or drying booster.
- The dish may have been removed too early from the dishwasher (programme was not finished completely).
- Rinse aid dosage may be too low; Adjust the setting for the rinse aid dosage.
My dishes and cutlery just won't clean.
- Check that you are using a regular machine cycle, not a short or special cycle.
- There could be insufficient water fill or pressure. Run your dishwasher when other household demands for water are low (i.e., laundry or bathing).
- This may be due to improper loading of dishes. Check that your large dishware doesn't block the detergent dispenser or water spray. Check your dishwasher manual for proper loading techniques.
- You may have used too little detergents. Use Finish tabs for even dosing.
- The spray arm may have been blocked, please ensure that the spray arm can rotate.
There is a yellow/brown film on my tub.
- Use Finish Dishwasher Cleaner following the instructions on the pack.
- Iron deposits in the water may lead to an overall yellow or brown film. You'll need a special filter in the water supply line to prevent this. Please contact a water softener company.
There is a white film on the interior surface of my dishwasher.
Hard water minerals are the culprit. Clean the surface by sponging Finish Dishwasher Cleaner on the interior. To remove existing deposits from the machine, try Finish Dishwasher Cleaner.
The softener unit may not be adjusted according to the water hardness of the tap water (information can be given by the local water authorities /supplier). Please consult the manual and adjust the water hardness accordingly.
The salt container is empty. Please refill the salt container.
The cap of the salt container has not been closed properly. Please ensure that the salt container is closed properly.
My detergent dispenser just won't close.
Either you have overfilled the cup with detergent or the mechanism is clogged up with leftover detergent.
Another option is that the closing mechanism of the dispenser is broken. In that case, please call a repairman in order to replace the dispenser. You will find the phone number in your dishwasher’s manual.
My detergent dispenser lid won't lock closed.
Check to see that your dial is in the "off" position.
There is some detergent left in my detergent dispenser after washing.
The dispenser might be blocked by items in the machine and cannot open; please make sure after you have loaded the machine that the dispenser can open.
The dispenser might have been wet when you inserted the detergent. Please make always sure that the dispenser is dry before you insert the detergent.
My dishwasher is giving off steam.
This is normal so don't worry. Steam comes through the vent by the door latch during the drying cycle.
Please also consult your user manual.
My dishwasher won't start.
- Check that the plug is in the socket.
- Check that your dishwasher door is closed properly.
- You may just need to turn your water tap on.
- There may be a fault with the fuse in the main electricity supply.
The lower spray arm has difficulty rotating.
The most important reason is that the spray arm may be blocked by the load. Please always make sure that the spray arm can rotate, after you have loaded the machine. You can do this by moving the spray arm mechanically yourself.
Please also consult the manual of your machine.
